DESK SET
Exceptional desk set in leather once belonging to Count Michel de Pierredon, Ambassador of the Order of Malta in France comprising: - A large correspondence box - A pair of bookends - A document case The red leather is richly decorated in gilt including the Count's coat of arms. The correspondence box and book ends bear coat of arms and a crown, the document case bears the same coat of arms and the coat of arms of the Order of Malta. The gilding-iron was sold in the Druot-Montaigne Auction rooms in June 2010, Simier sale, lot n° 214 (fetching 1360 euros) The bookends are signed "G.GINOCCHI ROMA"; the document case is signed "ROSEN PARIS" and "DEL ZOPPO SCULP." Superb condition Late 19th early 20th C. Correspondence box : 34 x 23 cm, height 29 cm. Bookends: 32 x 13,5 cm, height 17 cm. Document case: closed 28 x 24,5 cm.
18TH C FIRE IRONS
Rare 18th C fire irons in steel and gilt bronze comprising a shovel and tongs. The shovel is decorated with a star and a fleur de lys (lily). Both the handles are in decorated gilt bronze, typical of the Louis XVI period. Rare and in superb condition Length of tongs 84.5 cm Length of shovel 85.5 cm
19TH C EARTHENWARE BUST
Very attractive late 19th C earthenware bust of Marie Leczinska, Princess of Poland, Queen of France (1703-1768). After the marble bust of the Queen circa 1730-1731, which is kept in the Chateau of Versailles (see Catalog Musée National du Château de Versailles, Les Sculptures, tome 1 Le Musée, Simone Hoog, Réunion des Musées Nationaux , 1993). Removable octagonal base in oak.
LOUIS XVI PERIOD TUREEN
Magnificent 18th C tureen and dish in porcelain de Paris. "Salembier" decoration. The top of the lid is in the shape of a branch of fruit. The tureen is decorated with polychrome flower garlands, leaf scrolls, rosettes, festoons, shells and square patterns heightened in gilt and blue in the manner of Salembier. Museum quality Dish: 22 cm diameter Tureen : 20,5 cm including the handles Total height: 16 cm

PAIR OF EMPIRE PERIOD CANDLESTICKS
Superb pair of Empire period candlesticks in richly decorated gilt bronze. High quality carvings. Original mercury gilt in exceptional condition. Complete with both sconces. Height: 28 cm A similar pair of candlesticks of similar quality, no doubt the same bronze-founder, were exposed in the museum Les Gobelins, Paris from September 2010 to February 2011. This pair were listed in the inventory of the Chateau de Meudon in the dining room in 1833 and in the bedroom of Prince Napoleon in 1855. Now kept in the Mobilier National, Paris, inventory n°GML 7127, GML 7305. SWEET BOX CIRCA 1830
Very attractive sweet box in cardboard, crinkle gilt paper, silk and gilt metal with a "fixe sous verre" with silk lining of a little girl skipping Red and green edging decorated with stylized leaves. Circa 1830. Original interior in white and gold compartments. Very good condition. Diameter: 14 cm
