LOUIS XVI PERIOD CLOCK
18th C, Louis XVI period, clock in gilt bronze surmounted by a covered vase with ring handles held by lion heads. Enamel dial with Roman numbers, signed PODEVIN A SOISSON In working condition. The escapement was modified 4 May 1867 by the clock-maker Lechevalier, the date of the clock - 1778 - was found on the springs while it was being revised.
